Diamonds in Panama

The untapped Latin American Diamond market is now making a challenge on the diamond markets of Dubai, China and India with Panama leading the way, this market is slowly rising with diamond dealers looking on. The first diamond Bourse will be built in Panama, this is good news and will be the first of many to be constructed in the region.
There are fantastic opportunities in this region says Erez Akerman, the president of the Panama diamond exchange. The building that will house the Bourse will hold around 350 offices on 50 floors.The building that is specifically designed for the diamond exchange will also house an educational center, gemological labs along with diamond, jewelry and precious metal businesses.
In addition to this, the district’s main casino and hotel are being built right next to the building to ensure convenience and accessibility on the part of their tenants and visitors. The construction began early in 2008 and the project will be completed in 2 years.
